The Herschel before it begins changing.

The final evolution of a Herschel after 128 generations.

The Herschel is an H-like life pattern. It is rather unstable, but for an object its size, it is rather stable. It evolves from the R Pentomino at Generation 48, but is destroyed by the reaction of the other parts in the reaction.
